Around the House with Baskets

via West Elm

I can't beleive it's been over a week since my last post! This full time work schedule and online classes is leaving me with little to no time for blogging...and yes i did say full time job! I am no longer unemployed. Let's just say God is good and his timing is perfect!

Getting to the baskets...So the other day I found Dallas' best kept secret....well I guess it's no secret anymore...but then again, maybe it was never a secret...maybe I'm just late on this one...I tend to be the last one to find out  about cool things like this so that's probably the case...but I'll just keep on thinking I happened upon an undiscovered treasure trove....it's more fun.

I stopped by to see what it was all about and came out having to make two trips to my car to haul nothing but a ton of baskets! i will try to hold back on my excitement, but i was. so. excited about my new score! I have a weird thing for baskets...I guess I love that they are practical and pretty...two prerequisites I try to have for anything I put in my home...and baskets add a nice natural element too! I got three sets of 4 nesting natural seagrass baskets...each set was marked down from $62 to $14! I went home and decided to divide and conquer! so they are now scattered throughout my house solving {almost} any previous organizing conundrum...oh the beauty!...

I don't have any pictures yet of my new baskets in use but here are a few pics of other baskets around the home:

Owl Love You Forever

My friend Chelsea is preggers so some of us put together a baby shower for her the other weekend. Owl love you forever was the theme...it was really our excuse to incorporate owls into everything! it was so much fun! Here are some pics...

Invitation by Eleanor of Oh Louise! visit her shop on Etsy!

Yarn wreath by amanda...she's amazingly talented and the best hostess! watchout she's opening an etsy shop and is going to be huge! Ill keep yall posted about the opening of her shop so you can
order all your party decor from her!

Owl love you forever print compliments of Oh Louise!

Owl cookies made my Eleanor's mom!

Raspberry cake made by Amanda!

Chelsea is the cutest pregnant girl ever! I made an owl onesie for baby Caroline...since clearly that's the only thing I can do to contribute to this shower thrown by insanely talented girls!

Aynsley had a bunch of bird cages left over from her beautiful
wedding reception you can read about here and here that she brought for us to use!

The favors were 2 raspberry macaroons made and packaged by Amanda!

with little owl stickers made by Eleanor to match the invites!

Eleanor also made Chelsea thank you notes to match the shower theme!

To say the least I was ultimately impressed by the way everyone came together and used their talents to make the day super special for Chelsea! I have some of the most talented friends ever!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!

Vintage Love: Scarves

We all know that I love rummaging through thrift stores and walking out with some great finds, vintage scarves included. I love the bold prints and bright colors of an old silk scarf! You can find these babies for like a measley .50 at any thrift store. They are all so different and unique in their own way!
